Intercourse, Bird In Hand, Paradise, Peaceful Valley, and Strasburg are just a few of the Amish villages we visited on our way through the countyside.
We found a rail car to spend the night in and a silo we climbed to the top of. The rail car was a cross between a 5-star hotel and a cabin. There was a tv, frig, microwave, and an open bible on the table and it was very clean but the room was about 8’x16′ ( including bathroom). Amish buggies and wagons were everywhere. This little calf came running up to us when I stopped to take a picture. They had barns full of corn and their tobacco crop had been started. The crop rows are as straight as an arrow. Slow and quiet living at it’s best.
