Eagles Nest Lake

Quiet day in Eagles Nest. Went to fly shop and bought a 1 day fishing permit , some grasshoppers, yellow wooly buggers and midges, suggestions made by the young man behind the counter. It took me about 30 minutes to loose all of mine. There were trout jumping everywhere but on our hook but it was still a beautiful morning. Cameo surprised us by walking out into the water and deciding to lay down in it. We saw geese and white pelicans but pictures were pitiful. It rained most of afternoon which we can’t complain about because they need it here. It made the temperature around 71 while fishing ,before the rain , and the 60’s after it arrived.
