Hooked up, prayed for safe travel and headed out this morning. The sun is not up yet but we are bright eyed and bushy tailed. We’ve got 10 hours of travel before we hit Wichita, Kansas for the night. That’s if the Lord says the same. Gregg added a wind deflector to the top of truck. Suppose to save up to 3 mpg. And keep bugs off front of RV. We will be reporting on how well it works.
We are traveling with Jackie and Tammy ( in picture)this time. The plan was to travel in a 3 RV caravan but because of family illness the Borne part of GillsrBORNE to travel could not make it . They are hoping to maybe meet us in Colorado. Please keep their son Stephen in your prayers.
Our route will take us through Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, all places we’ve been before. Nebraska, and South Dakota will be new for us, then on to Wyoming and our favorite Colorado. Pictures may not be interesting today but maybe tomorrow.
We were given a 40 day family challenge last night at church and going to do our best to accomplish it. We may actually have an easier time than most since its about having a family meal together 20 out of 40 days without tv or phone. Time at the table praying, eating and connecting. On the road we share most meals with our traveling buddies and rarely have internet or satellite service so a lot of that temptation will be eliminated.
