Sylvan Lake and Black Elk Peak Fire Tower.

We thought walking 3.7 miles up a moderately difficult trail to see a stone fire tower at the tallest peak in South Dakota would be easy. It was a day with high temperatures of 61 and misting rain ☔️. We didn’t let that slow us down or deter us. The walk up was doable with the aspiration of seeing the tower but ,boy, the 3.7 mile walk back got rough. Did I mention there were no bathrooms along the way (except a tree 🌲 or bush ) ? Making memories. 😬 Great 👍🏻 hair day!
