Walking a well worn trail called Coyote Ridge may not seem like a daunting task but I must be prepared and bring necessary supplies. I put on my hiking boots and sunscreen. I need to remember my water and sun shades. It is also so wonderful to have Gregg to share it with. There are markers , instructions and warnings ( rattle snakes 🐍) to guide you along the way.

At the top waiting for us was a abandoned cabin with a welcoming shaded porch to rest under.

Isn’t this like our Christian walk? We’ve been given the bibles instructions on how to live life to the fullest; how to walk in our mission with confidence. Holy Spirit is the warning for when the snake is in the grass. The snake is there to scare us with insecurities; to make us doubt or feel weak; to poison us with half truths and temptations.

I need to bathe my life in prayer and the Word to prepare my heart for my journey and have all the confidence to complete it and rest in the comfort of His shelter.

Proverbs 18:24

A man who has friends must himself be friendly but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
