What a Journey!!!

Thanks Howard Malpass for the pictures.

Leaving at a good time, it’s 22 degrees this morning. We have traveled over 12,000 miles, visited 9 states and 3 provences in Canada. We’ve seen mountains , walked on a glacier, along geysers, seeing Old Faithful blow, watched waterfalls, walked on sand dunes, ziplined over trees, and floated down a river.

We have visited some awesome church services, one with a barefooted worship leader, another with dogs sitting with owners on the pews and lots of folks that love Jesus.

We’ve spent loonies and toonies, eaten fresh salmon and halibut, poutine, and schnitzel and fresh cinnamon rolls.

We’ve met Emmy winning wildlife photographers, a bicyclist going from the Artic Circle to Rio De Janerio, an author that built and piloted his own plane ,following the Lewis and Clark trail down the Missouri, met the Royal Canadian Mounted police, watched guys from Australia ride their bikes off a canyon and into the water below.

We’ve saw fireworks, on the 4th of July in Cheyenne,  went to one of the world’s largest malls in Edmonton , been to the Calgary stampede, driven the Alaskian Highway, visited the North Pole ,and  stood on a glass skywalk looking down at the canyon below.

We had a beaver flap a warning  at us with its’s tail, watched a otter snack on fish, had a mink run across a bridge right behind us, and flown in a plane to an island to walk with the grizzly bears 🐻 and got within feet of a huge bull moose, and we’ve seen more elk, big horn sheep, and  black bear than we can count.

I’ll never forget the sound of the bugle of a bull elk, the smell of a field of pink clover, the thunder coming over a mountain range, or the sight of brilliant yellow canola fields .

Maybe, just maybe we’ve slowed down just enough to hear and learn to listen to the voice of God ,  to wait on His leadership , instead of running ahead of Him.

I could sit and whine about our malfunctioning left blinker, Wayne’s side mirror being sideswiped off by another truck, how we just could not keep our poor trucks and RV’s clean, the unfortunate things that happened back home in our absence, or how we almost lost Marcia in a fall ( ask us about that ) , but instead we choose to remember the incredible journey.

If you want and get the opportunity, don’t hesitate to take a trip like this. Find wonderful friends like Marcia and Wayne that love to laugh, explore and feel as blessed as we did.

Come see the indescribable beauty and experience all “this here “United States and Canada has to offer, but remember ALWAYS from whom all the majesty and glory belongs . We give our Lord God all the Praise!

P.S. Thanks to our precious husbands who worked long and hard to take us on a trip of a lifetime.
