Colorado bound with the gang

Met at the Texas Welcome Center at 6 A.M. bright eyed and bushy tailed! Amarillo will be our first stop for the night. Big Texan Steakhouse here we come. Aislyne and Cameo are excited too. The bluebonnets, pink poppies and orange Indian paint brush are covering the roadside in Texas. In 1969 Ladybird Johnson started handing out personal checks as Texas Beautification Awards. Soon everyone was planting Bluebonnets, Blackeyed Susan’s, and Indian Paintbrush all along the road side hoping she would notice. Bluebonnets became the state flower.
